PAR 4

  334 Whites   314 Yellows   284 Ladies

A  slight left to right from the elevated tee  there are 2 bunkers on the right from the tee and one on the left, both are reachable with a good drive. To the left off the tee is out of bounds. To the right from the tee is semi to deep rough with a few immature trees and bushes. From the fairway bunkers you are around 140 yards to the green that is protected by small bunkers both front left and right. There is a steep slope on the left of the green and a slope that runs away to the right of the green. The green is flat with small breaks. Par is always good on opening hole. Wind can push you to the rough on the right.

PAR 4

  267 Whites   252 Yellows   241 Ladies

A shortish hole, this is straight and the green lies below the level of the tee. Out of bounds on your left over the hedge. There are 3 bunkers visible from the tee, 2 on the right and one on the left, these are reachable from the tee. The grove of trees on your right has a drainage ditch to avoid. From the marker post in the middle of the fairway you are around 80 - 100 yards from the green. At around 20 yards short of the green is a bunker that runs the width of the fairway. This may catch longer hitter's in the summer months. The green has a slight mound surrounding 3 sides and the slope on the green runs from back to front. If wind is assisting be careful with tee shot.Birdie chance for long hitters.
Beware Captains Bunker in the middle of the fairway, end up in here donate 50p to AIR AMBULANCE in the club house bar.

PAR 3

  132 Whites   117 Yellows   117 Ladies

The green is slightly elevated from the tee making the pin position hard to determine. the green is protected by 2 bunkers. The first is on the front left of the green and the second is middle right. The second bunker can not be seen from the tee. The green slopes from front to back right, though has some level areas near the top left. Mounds surround the rear and right hand side of the green to stop long hitters, beware deep rough back left. Wind can most times be into your face on here. Par here is possible..

PAR 4

  382 Whites   367 Yellows   356 Ladies

This is a dog leg to the left. From the tee the line is between the two fairway bunkers or the middle of the dog leg and beyond the large tree on your left, short of the tree will weaken your chances of reaching the green with your second shot. Out of bounds awaits you on the right where the Barbourne Brook meanders. At the large tree the fairway takes a left hand 90° turn and is around 150 yards to an elevated green with two tiers. There is a fairway bunker around 90 yards to the green on the right and a bunker on the front left of the green. Out of bounds is to the rear of the green and a drainage (Red Stakes) ditch to your left. The green runs from front to back on the top tier and from middle to front on the lower tier. Could have wind from behind here which may bring rough into play at dog leg off the tee.Par here is a great score.

PAR 3

  162 Whites   147 Yellows   146 Ladies

This is the second Par 3. The green is protected by 3 bunkers. One is front left and the other front right. The third bunker is middle right and can just be seen from the tee. There is out of bounds over the hedge on the left. There are mounds to the back of the green to protect the players on hole 6. The green slopes from middle left to back right. A pin position on the front right will mean a put from the middle of the green and will be slightly downhill. Wind will most times be from the right and into you. Birdie chance with good club selection.

PAR 5

  497 Whites   485 Yellows   430 Ladies

The Par 5 plays to an elevated green, uphill. The tee is elevated where you play to a distant valley fairway over the meandering Barbourne Brook. Out of bounds is beyond the brook and to the left. From the tee there is a tree on the right that is within driving distance and has some   deep rough. The hole then plays up hill past a tree on the left. from here the fairway and rough undulate all the way to the green.Trees line the right hand side and should be avoided, though the best approach to this whole is from the right hand side. From the large  tree on the left up the fairway  you are around 170 yards up hill to to a small narrow (left to right)  hard green. The green is protected by one bunker on the front left. The green is flat with a few mounds to the rear of the green. If playing into the wind will be very long.Par is a good score here.

hole7

PAR 4

  416 Whites   406 Yellows   382 Ladies

The hardest hole on the course also known as "The Castle". The hole is slightly right to left. From the tee you are unable to see your landing area beyond the brook. The landing area is split by the Barbourne Brook and from the back tee you will need your best drive as the carry is around 200 yards. There is a large oak tree on the left and a safe landing area is well to the right of this. Beyond the tree and to the left of it is a pond. From the level of the large tree you are around  200 yards to a two tier green. The green is protected by one bunker on the front left and one at the back right. The green is elevated from the drive landing area over the brook and is unsighted due to the large mound running the width of the fairway. The green has a sever slope running its width, splitting the green in two. The green on both levels runs from right to left with the right to left very severe on the top level. The green has small mounds surrounding on 2 sides (left and back). Par is great score here, try to keep damage to a minimum with smart play.

PAR 4

  320 Whites   300 Yellows   302 Ladies

A short par 4 which dog legs to the left. From the tee your aim is the fairway marker post. There is a hedge on the left which is out of bounds, cutting the corner can be achieved though out of bounds runs all the way down and to the back of the green. From the marker post (Black and White) the fairway makes a hard left. At the marker you are around 130 yards in to the green. There is out of bounds on the left. From the tee it is possible to cut the corner of the hedge, though accuracy is needed here and length otherwise it is 3 off the tee. The fairway has 2 bunkers on the far right hand side at 70 yards and 30 yards from the green, can be reached off the tee. The green is protected by by one bunker on the front left and mounds on 3 sides. To the rear over the mounds is out of bounds in the hedge. The green slopes front to rear. Par is easy here with smart play.

hole9

PAR 3

  207 Whites   192 Yellows   170 Ladies

The signature hole, a long Par 3. From slightly the elevated tee there are trees to the left where the Barbourne Brook meanders from your left to the right. There are trees protecting the brook on the right and an area to avoid. Once the trees and brook are cleared the fairway opens up. The green is protected by 3 bunkers the first is front right around 20 yards short of the green. The second is middle left of the green and the third is middle right. The green slopes from back left to front right and is protected by mounds at the rear, beyond which is heavy rough. Out of bounds awaits a poor tee shot too far left over the hedge. Wind can be from the left pushing towards the brook.Par chance with good tee shot.

Stroke Index: 5 Players Index: 8

(Please let players play to the green once you have reached the green - This speeds up play)

hole10

PAR 3

  120 Whites   117 Yellows   115 Ladies

A very short Par 3. The tee is located on the banks of the Barbourne Brook. The green is an upside down saucer with no bunkers. There is a water hazard back left that can come into play in the summer months as the course hardens up.The brook starts infront of you from the tee and meanders down the right hand side. The small green is very level with only slight breaks. The most open green from the tee yet very hard to hit when the pin is tucked close to the back edge. Wind can come from the left or right most times. Par is great on this hole.

Stroke Index: 12 Players Index: 12

These holes are the same layout as 2 -8 with the tee positions moving to increase or decrease yardage all the greens remain the same though the angle from the tee may be different.

(Players playing  the 11th Hole  have right of way over those playing hole 2)

hole_17

PAR 4

418 Whites     396 Yellows     350 Ladies

This is the long PAR 4 on the course, uphill from the tee with a wide fairway to aim for. The trouble is the rough on the right that has a severe slope to the brook. A good drive will result in a mid to long iron into the green, though most days this hole plays into the wind making it a very tough hole to par. The fairway has 2 bunkers on the far right hand side at 70 yards and 30 yards from the green. The green is protected by one bunker on the front left and has grass mounds on 3 sides. To the  left, down the side of the hole, over the hedge and the hedge to the rear of the green is out of bounds so choose your second. Most times will play into the wind. The green slopes front to rear. A par here is a great score.

Stroke Index: 4 Players Index: 5

hole18

PAR 4

  252 Whites   222 Yellows   148 (3)   Ladies

This hole now becomes a par 4 with the tee moved further back. From the elevated tee the landing area can be clearly seen with trees to the left and to the right. The Barbourne Brooke crosses yet should not come into play with a good drive. The shortness of the whole forces players to give it that bit extra which can bring the out of bounds into play on the far left over the hedge and the brook on the right. Bunkers on the right short of the green and right and left hand side of the green. The green slopes back to front with a flat section on the back left. The wind most times will come from the left pushing towards the right hand bunkers. Birdie chance for long straight hitters.
